.. exploring the world while developing smart, responsible travel & tourism programs.

I divide my time between tour planning , extended volunteer assignments, and personal travel. Just completed a community housing workshop in Dhaka. Now time to explore Bangladesh.

ABOUT ME
Living and working across Asia since January 2013, with two months during the summers in America, visiting family and friends Apart from Asia I've traveled extensively in 2021-22 exploring new (for me) regions of eastern Europe, Morocco, Senegal and Gambia in north and west Africa.

My work and a sense of 'wander' ... has allowed me the opportunity to explore much of the world.

I hope we meet along the way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been connected to Couchsurfing for more than 20 years, hosting in California and Colorado. Wow, time flies!

My Asian work & wanderings have taken me to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Myanmar. Lots of stories and connections to share!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was an active host and friend to many CS'ers in the U.S. for 8 years. Previously, lived in Southern California and Colorado, where I hosted guests from around the world. All-in-all it has been a remarkably positive and rewarding experience.

I have worked in cultural and adventure travel, served on the faculty and leadership teams at two universities, produced television news programming, and traveled extensively.

Interests include international affairs, local culture (and food!), contemporary art and music...and finding areas and off-the-beaten places to explore.
