CURRENT MISSION

Easing into retirement. Getting used to doing things as and when I feel like it instead of because I have to. Is more challenging than I would have thought.

ABOUT ME

I am sensitive to tobacco smoke, and also hate the smell of it even on peoples clothes, so want non smokers only as guests.

I don't have a mobile online device, usually turn my computer on in the evening, not every day. This is why I have not seen a lot of requests to stay here until too late. PLEASE CONTACT ME A FEW DAYS IN ADVANCE if you might like to stay

Originally middle class English, have spent a long time overcoming my upbringing (I hope). Have a dry sense of humour that bites and am probably not very PC. People seem to think I'm eccentric but I reckon they are the strange ones.

PHILOSOPHY

I choose to believe that how I live my life does make a difference, and the only way that makes sense is if something else comes after. I don't know what and don't think anyone else does either. Sometimes I think I do the best I can and sometimes I wonder

I like the idea of meeting and talking in some depth with random strangers.
I usually enjoy having people stay.
It seems a good way to find places to stay if I travel.

Not much into movies. Like most music if not too commercial, loud, arty or ambient. Too many books/authors to mention - fantasy/sifi, humour, science and anything to make me think or take me somewhere else.

Waking up one morning with more than 5 senses. Didn't seem to be hallucination as info gained checked out amazingly well. This lasted several months. Too interesting to be scary.
