About Me
Hi there, Omar is the name! Exploring is the game! I'm a travel-loving events manager from London who is used to travelling around the world for work. Now, I'm looking to share life-changing experiences with different people from around the world. I have a vast range of travel experience, from living in Poland for a couple of years, running Quidditch (yes, it turned into a real-life sport!) and esports events around Eastern Europe to working in the US teaching graphic design in upstate NY. In my spare time, I love going to the gym, playing video games, teaching rugby most weekends, and teaching myself languages. Currently, I'm trying to learn Swedish while I'm already fluent in French, Creole, Polish and English. However, Spanish is one language I would love to learn! If I'm not doing any of the above, you can find me walking to different places around cities as I love to explore new places, be social, and talk to new people.
I'm a little sarcastic at times (it's the British sense of humour), but I am very outgoing and generally friendly. I tend to ask a lot of questions. I'm not nosy; I'm just curious! Blame my people skills due to my job! I'm a massive foodie, so I'm also welcome to try all sorts of food!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love exploring new places, meeting people, and learning about different cultures. My desire is to be a digital nomad (I'm already halfway there with my current job). Even though I travel for work, I would like to take a different approach to travelling and help me broaden my horizons.
I am new to the Couchsurfing community, so please go easy on me! However, I look forward to connecting with you and staying with you if you accept me! :)
Thank you for reading this.
Music, Movies, and Books
anything that is catchy. My music taste is very board. Movies wise it depends on the genre. But you can ask me that if we meet :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been lucky to have done so many amazing things in my lifetime. From running events at the Cannes Film Festival to Travelling the World to help run events for Rolls Royce. However, the most amazing I feel I have done is travelling to 10 different countries in a space of 3 months and growing as a person while doing so.
