HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travelled the world and stayed mostly in luxury hotels. I often missed to be close to the host countries culture. I would have preferred couches, but the network wasn´t available then. Now I offer my place to people who are curious, friendly, open and smart. And I will try to explain them why the germans love beer so much...and wine...and party....and fun....and football....and...and...and

Friends of mine and family, we are running a child care center in Cambodia SCAO (www.savepoorchildreninasia.org ), close to Phnom Penh, where we teach around 350 children every day english and further subjects free of charge. Presently we have 2 schools and we are building now the 3rd one. We are constantly searching for volunteers and as we are supported by the RED CROSS, we can take even long term volunteers.

Música, películas y libros

I am addicted to Reggae and Ska, but love all kind of music, except Rap and HipHop. Love music from 50s and 60s.
Movies among others I like Billy Elliot, The Dear Hunter, Harold and Maude, James Bond and everything by MONTY PYTHON.
When I travel and watch TV in different hotels, mainly ANIMAL PLANET is running all the time.
Too many books to mention here, but really enjoy books which makes me laugh out loud.

Too many to mention. I have travelled almost the entire planet and besides being german and living in Germany, I am a resident of Sri Lanka, where I spend lot of time as well.

I love doing things, which are not so common to avoid saying one day "I should have done it". So I did the following stuff among others:
> White shark cage diving
> diving with hundreds of hammerhead sharks at isla de Coco and Galapagos
> had a week of Tango lessons in Buenos Aires with "masters of the dance"
> did parachute jumping (already in the military)
> worked as a helicopter pilot (in the military)
> learnt how to play Polo in Argentina (2 weeks only)
> enjoyed the football worldcup 2006 in Germany
> enjoyed the football worldcup 2010 in South Africa
> enjoyed the victory of the football worldcup 2014 in Brasil, but only by attending public viewing here in Kiel
> went 4 weeks to Argentina last year to work with cattle and horses on different estancias
> sold my car last year and now only use my bicycle and public transportation

Would love to learn more on my Saxophone. I had a break for too long.
Love to share the beauty of this planet with good friends while having a glass of good wine and great music.
And I realized that breathing deeply is incredible after a laugh flash.
