Hi, I am Upama Dangal and I’m from Nepal. As of now, I’m studying in Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA. In my university, I’m studying Economics and Mathematics. I love to travel and meet new people from different walks of life. As much as I love to travel, lately I haven’t been able to travel a lot due to many reasons which is why I promised myself that I will be travelling a lot in 2026. I have a few places I really want to go to including Europe, South America and Middle-East Asia.

Besides traveling, I love to do a lot of outdoor activities like hiking, running, riding a bike, camping and so much more!! I'm also an adrenaline junkie :) so I love all sorts of adventurous, fun things to do and I'm always down for those. Lately, I’ve really started liking the beach more than I ever did so my next few travel destinations are all going to be tropical places (but it’s just a phase i’ll get over it)!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Part of the reason why I love traveling is because I get to experience the local culture and traditions of different places. I'm also into language learning so being connected to a local would always help me with that too. I want to build good bonds and friendships with people I end up getting connected with through Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : Music is really therapeutic to me! I listen to all genres (Pop, R&B, electric, country) and I listen to a lot of artists including Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, Zayn, Billie Eilish, Vance Joy, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Tom Odell and many more.
Movies : I'm not a big movie person but I remember being absolutely stunned watching Killers of the FlowerMoon and goes without saying, but I love Titanic (a little too much)
Book : I love the classics; The Great Gatsby, 1984, Pride and Prejudice. I also loved a memoir named "Crying in H Mart"
