À propos de moi

Hi dear Couchsurfing community! 🌍
My name is Hüseyin — a free spirit and digital nomad from Turkey.

I’ve traveled extensively across Turkey and neighboring countries with my backpack, experiencing not just places but the lifestyles, stories, and everyday rhythms of the people who live there. I’ve spent much of my life in southeastern Turkey, in culturally rich cities like Diyarbakır and Mardin, where Kurdish culture plays a strong role in daily life.

Currently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in Gdańsk, Poland, where I also enjoy sharing my knowledge by teaching chess and basic coding to children at a local school.

I’m deeply interested in programming, chess, travel, and photography. In a previous chapter of my life, I was an extreme sports enthusiast — an experience that taught me discipline, courage, and focus. These days, I prefer a slower, more mindful lifestyle. Minimalist living and slow travel have helped me appreciate simplicity and stay present in the moment.

I love learning new things, whether it’s a new language, a recipe, or a local dance. I believe in kindness, curiosity, and open-mindedness, and I truly feel that everyone has a story worth hearing.

My travels have shaped me into a calm, adaptable, and curious person who feels comfortable in diverse environments. I enjoy discovering cities not only as a tourist, but as someone who wants to understand their soul through people, food, and everyday life.

Let’s connect, exchange experiences, and make the world feel a little smaller together ✨

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe that the best way to understand a place is through the people who live there. For me, travel isn’t just about ticking destinations off a list — it’s about human connection, shared stories, and everyday moments that turn into meaningful memories.

Couchsurfing allows me to experience cities beyond the tourist perspective, learn local cultures from the inside, and exchange ideas with people from different backgrounds. I love listening to stories, sharing meals, playing chess, taking photos together, or simply talking about life.

As someone who enjoys slow travel and minimalist living, I value genuine connections more than comfort. I’m here to meet open-minded people, learn from each other, and contribute positive energy wherever I go.

Whether we share a cup of tea, a walk through the city, or a deep late-night conversation, I believe these small moments are what truly make the world feel smaller and more connected 🌍
