I hitchhiked across the U.S. — 7,000 miles in 10 days — with one truck driver who picked me up in Texas and became my road buddy all the way to New York City. We crossed 16 states together, slept in the truck cabin (which somehow felt cozier than some hostels), and shared life stories between highway diners and desert gas stations. When we finally rolled into New York, he offered to take me to a truck depot to rest up. But I smiled, thanked him for everything, and told him I wanted to experience the city raw — so I spent the next three nights sleeping on the streets of Manhattan. It was wild, a little reckless, and completely unforgettable. That trip reminded me that adventure begins where comfort ends — and sometimes, the best stories start with a truck, a stranger, and a leap of faith.

As a coffee roaster, I’m basically wired 24/7 — I’ll happily make you a killer cup of coffee and chat about beans, brews, or anything in between.
