And I would like to help people how to discover the world, its people and themself during their journey. Oh, and promote the SUSTAINABLE DECLINEING ! :) and teach people

ABOUT ME

http://vandorboy.com/, Peripatetic. (as pre-Socratic philosophers were :) I have been 153 + countries of the world in the last 26 years. But so many things to see, to meet, (and learn) more.. (and teach) I have travel bug in my blood, it is a life long disease - only to be cured by further travel and new experiences.
my blogs about my philosophy of hitch-hiking

IM A MIRROR. You can see (or ask, understand) me as deep as you can or as you are. I'm a mirror. (if you want to discuss shallow, i will be shallow, if you want deeper i will be deeper - the latest is preferable for me)
I visited 152 states (81.7%) Create your own visited map of The World

PHILOSOPHY

Think globally act locally. Open minded people are welcome to meet. Bring your culture, I share mine.
A true explorer knows no fear, but also knows his limits. Farther you go, deeper you arrive.. in yourself. See my pictures:

My ecological activity is my passivity: not producing garbage, not polluting the Mother Earth unnecessarily. ...
life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the places and moments that take our breath away...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Member more then 14 years now, i organized more than 280 c.s. meetings around the globe, moderator of 50 group or so, and participating another 60 groups. When I'm in Hungary i did presentations about my travels with slide shows to encourage people to travel, discover other cultures.. and themselves.
When i travel (i did it permanently for 12 years) I have shared my experiences, my photos, and I have music and films to share and talk about. I usually cook Hungarian food if my host interested in food cultures.
I can give travel advices and encourage everybody to travel. I have ideas how is the world, and how to travel it, how to live in.. happily.
Farther you go, deeper you arrive.. in yourself.
İm moderetor of 50 groups f.e.- cooksurfing, films, cave climbing, bicycle tour, trekking, cultural events, life artist, etc..
Recently i have to work very intense, so i host only people hosted me earlier, so im still busy hosting every months but not so intense as before i did.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met many interesting, kind-hearted people during my couchsurfing 'life' (as host and guest as well), eye-opening situations, good dialogues, deeper understandings and lot of fun.
I organizing c.s. meetings, activities, around the world (more then 250), forming community and sharing the idea of C.S. those who ready for it.
I'm definitely not a tourist, Couchsurfing is a way to dig deeper in the society.. if it is your cup of tea you are on one of the best site now.
If i met like-minded people I was more then happy.
My GUESTs - were from all over the world: Mexico, Chile, Brazil, USA, Canada, Russia, Czech rep., Slovakia, Poland, Serbia, Germany, Bosnia, Netherlands, Sweden, Korea, Iran, Greece, Slovenia, Finland, Spain, France, India, Ireland, England, turkmenistan, Afganistan, Syria, China, Honkong, Turkmenistan, Afganistan, Syria, etc.
The past few years i found c.s. members more about party, less sharing time, less respecting hosts.. so recently im reserved for friends or for special people.
Abroad still doing c.s. events, in many country after many years people still remember me, and hope new generation also has special and interesting people who can herit the merit of hospitality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many... learning and living the philosophy, climbing over 6075m, vipassana meditation 5 times each for 10-14 days, trekking over your limit as 50-70 km a day ( living far from the civilization), get lost in the jungle, swimming 5.5km, jumping out from air plane from 4km hight and facing with myself (that was the most difficult ). Biking days, diving, seeing fluorescent plankton's in Indonesia at night, sleeping next to erupting Vulcan and seeing lava-flow from close, snorkelling at coral reefs, wild animals face to face (best were the chimpanzee because they are like us.. just more honest :) ), try keeping my ecological footprint small, hitchhiking and traveling 12 years and meeting interesting people......and situations.. and the list still going on..and on... and yes.. i organising a backpacker festival for 6 years now, and more then 1200 attendent (backpackers!!) come to see presentations done by travellers.
