About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My intention is to travel as much as possible, exploring this beautiful planet and meeting good people along the way.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently getting my Master's in Nutrition and Functional Medicine, so that takes up most of my time. But in my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, making memories with my family, and hopefully planning my next trip! I would love to travel the world, learning what makes each place I visit unique, special, and inherently itself. I love to be in nature, see beautiful places, eat delicious food, and meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

When Plan A doesn't work out, how can I make Plan B completely outshine it?

There is no “good” or “bad”, just plot twists that bring you to the experience you were meant to have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch Surfing is a great way to make travel possible. Finding a place to sleep is one of the most costly parts of traveling. Simple hospitality can keep a traveler moving on their journey, longer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music, from Alison Krauss to Frank Sinatra to DJ Khaled; basically everything I can find on Spotify. My favorite movies are comedies (both rom-coms and not), and natural disaster movies (not sure where that fascination comes from, but it's legit). I like books on health and healing, travel, and self-discovery. Kerouac is an old favorite, Wendell Berry is a new favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing General Sherman, the largest living tree in the world, is pretty amazing. It is a giant Sequoia tree that is around 2300 years old. It grows in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. --Also, the view from Mt. Ventoux in Southern France is breathtaking, and getting to hear an actual Cuckoo bird while up there! Living in an intentional community and hot springs resort in the Cascade Mountains in Oregon for a year was quite amazing, too. I also really enjoyed making limoncello in Positano, Italy last year. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm able to share what I've learned from my own travels in America. As well as what I learned during my short time in Europe. I know a good deal about health, yoga, growing food, and how to make a good pot of tea. I'd like to learn more about culture, history, and sustainability.
