About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live a good life

ABOUT ME

Easy going, laid back and fun loving. Can be really active, dynamic and energetic. I can just as easily be so lazy I just sit around and enjoy that I don't really have to do anything at that moment. Time is precious though so you got to do what feels best at that moment. I really like outdoor activities though and I love sports. I am a jock!

PHILOSOPHY

Work/Study as if you were going to live forever, live as if you were going to die tomorrow!

When in doubt follow your heart, not your head!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Trying to meet people and plan trips while offering my knowledge of the places I have been to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Few due to time issues but they have all been great!

Interests

Travelling, sports, reading, animals, music, movies and hanging out with friends. Not necessarily in that order.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Denzel Washington, Edward Norton, Al Pacino, Ben Stiller & co. and Angelina Jolie, who doesn't. Big fan of Kevin Smith as a director. Depends in what kind of mood I am in but my favourite movies would be Shawshank Redemption, Training Day and Clerks for some laughs.
As far as books go I'm a big Michener fan for his historical novels. Love to read them before I travel to the place. Another great one is Bill Bryson.
Music, well it depends on my mood. Mainly Rock, R & B and Pop music. Anything from Bob Marley to Korn to Eminem.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cage diving with the Great White Sharks off the South African coast. Never seen anything like it. So close you could touch, sense and admire this amazing creature. One even puntured the buoy just in front of me with its teeth. Shocking!!

Travelling around the slums in Cambodia was also very revealing and enlightening. I really do hope I get back there some day and contribute to the wonderful people over there.

Teach, Learn, Share

'Money can not buy life' were Bob Marley's last words. So true, it is people that make the difference wherever you go. No matter how great everything else might be, if the company isn't there, nothing really matters.

I like to live life to the maximum as you only live once. Take that with a grain of salt as I do not mean to abuse of life itself, but not to hold back and refrain from doing things because of what others might think of you or because you keep on postponing them. The right time is now!
