ABOUT ME

I've been thrown into the world of travel and exploring. After one trip to Boulder, Colorado and falling in love with it, I realized I needed to see more things, meet more people, etc. Since realizing I didn't want to use my Broadcasting degree so much, have spent the past 4 years getting around North America.

I've hiked a handful of long-distance trails: 5 months on the Appalachain Trail, 4 on the Pacific Crest Trail, 1 on the Pacific Northwest Trail. Thousands of miles in total..

Moved on to bicycle touring and rode a bit through Colorado and Utah as a warm up for a Latin American jaunt. Rode the length of Mexico, snorkeled in Belize, and was blown away by the Mayans and volcanoes of Guatemala. Will be heading down to Columbia soonish to make it to Tierra del Fuego

PHILOSOPHY

See as much as possible with an open mind, to try to see what others see as well. I like to think that I'm easy going, and can adapt to my environment, but thats up to you to judge. Everyone is different, give them space, and hopefully they won't harm anyone. FREEDOM is the name of the game...

God, where do i start? I guess I'm one of those annoying people who say they listen to 'everything'. But really, I'm not saying that and just like all styles of rock. Umm....I dig Indie Rock, Electronica, Middle Eastern sitar stuff, Death Metal, jazz, classical, ambient, and all music on the fringes in between.

Books tend to be in the philosophical/travel realm....specifically enjoy Kerouac (does every traveler say that?), Denis Johnson, Zen Buddhist philosophy, Joseph Campbell, David Toop, and too many more.

Movies: Science of Sleep, Babel, THE FOUNTAIN, American Psycho, Death to Smoochy, and it goes on.

2,174 mile through hike from Georgia to Maine. Mt Katahdin was amazing.

My current hitching trip has shown so many things: Spectacular sheer cliffs in Newfoundland, generous generous people in Newfoundland, Sunsets on the coast in Newfoundland. Enough about Newfoundland: Northern Lights in northern Alberta, Fall foliage in Nakusp, B.C....soo much more.
