我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Honestly at first I thought this is a platform for free stays wherever I go (which sounds great as a student).

But after staying with a few people in different countries and cities I figured out that this is an amazing way to travel - because you’ll never get to know a place better than when you’re staying with a local who’s been living there for a while!

And I’ve already found friends on here that I know I’ll stay in touch with forever and some I even met up with again in different countries while traveling on and on and on :D

I might have a serious Harry Potter addiction. I can read and watch it over and over and over again and somehow never get bored… and I love going to the Movies 🍿 back home I go every Monday night - so if you‘re looking for someone to go to the movies with you, I’m ALWAYS up for that!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Swimming with humpback whales in Tonga!! That was a huuuge bucket list item for me but I never though I’d actually get to go to Tonga since flights are really expensive. So I sailed there and did it!

Standing on the edge of an active volcano in Vanuatu. Changed my view on life and how small we are and how powerful natures can be!

Somehow I ended up on a sailboat with no sailing experience whatsoever. What was intended to be 6 weeks somehow turned into 6 months on board and I LOVED every second of it! How did I not know about this way of traveling before??

I did an internship for a few months in China without speaking a word of Chinese (and honestly without knowing what the company that hired me even does)… Getting to know a new county, a new culture, new people… new everything!

One advice? Go out there, explore and just do it! Don’t think about it too much, it’ll be great!
