About Me
𝐍𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 ✨ - I'm a wandering storyteller with a weathered notebook and endless curiosity. I travel not just to see new places, but to truly experience them through the eyes and hearts of locals who call them home.
𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 - I'm fascinated by local stories, forgotten legends, and family histories shared over home-cooked meals. Whether it's your grandmother's secret recipe or your neighborhood's hidden history, I treasure these moments that connect us across time and culture.
𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 - Means every conversation becomes precious to me. I love listening to your adventures, dreams, and the quirky stories that make your city unique. In return, I'll share the colorful experiences I've gathered from fellow wanderers worldwide.
𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 - each couch, each kitchen conversation becomes a temporary home that enriches my understanding of our interconnected world.
𝐏𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 - as I find magic in everyday moments, from morning light on coffee cups to the rhythm of local life.
What I offer - Respectful presence, engaging stories from the road, help with daily tasks, cultural exchange, and meaningful conversations.
What I seek - Authentic local experiences, connections with people who love their city, and opportunities to learn about culture and traditions.
I believe the best travel experiences happen when strangers become friends through shared stories.
Every person has a tale worth telling—I'd be honored to hear yours.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on CS because I think one of the best things to know a country is if you know local people and live like them, also you have the chance to share with other people of your culture, so I think is a way to learn and teach something, so when you finish your trip you will get some memories that you wouldn't live travelling in other ways

Music, Movies, and Books
• Hmm- music. Don't really have a lot of time for it because I am distracted by other things I am doing. Let's start off with Celtic music- I often listen to Irish-Scottish stuff (no disrespect to the Bretons, Welsh or Basques) in particular. Grew up listening to The Pogues, Great Big Sea, The Dubliners and The Wolfe Tones to mention a few. Sadly the Celtic music scene in Christchurch has died a sad death over the year and what is resurrected for Saint Patrick's Day is...well, let's just leave it at that. There are songs you can drink to, those you can sing to and those you can dance to (I have Irish dance lessons years ago).
• Likewise, I kind of like Dub-step and Drum and Base, though I hardly ever attend those sort of events- that's life I guess. When it is boiled down every group/artist puts out their own amount of good and bad stuff.
• As to movies, I like historical dramas, comedies and the odd documentaries. Especially lastest foriegn films- even if they are on Youtube and had TERRIBLE subtitles. So far my favourites are: Wild Geese I, Zulu, In Bruges, The Guard and Siege of Jadotville (Look for the 'Man in the White Suit' scene on Youtube and tell me think if you that shoot was possible with a Bren gun!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Let me tell you that I am a very kind person and I have not done anything interesting in my life except giving chocolate 🍫 to children.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn about different cultures, different languages and make new friends and learn different ways of living.
