Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe traveling is not just about seeing new places, but also about connecting with people, sharing cultures, and creating meaningful memories. Hotels can give you comfort, but they can’t give you the same warmth and authentic experience that comes from staying with locals or welcoming travelers into your home.

For me, Couchsurfing is a way to build friendships across the world, exchange ideas, and learn from each other’s journeys. I enjoy hearing stories, discovering traditions, and showing guests the real side of my city that they might not find in guidebooks.

It’s also about giving back—offering a safe space, kindness, and hospitality to fellow travelers, knowing that someday I might be the one needing a couch somewhere far from home.
