I am a pretty straightforward person, punctual and with a no-BS approach (sounds like a cocky LinkedIn intro, doesn't it?).
I appreciate the effort and consideration for the other people. In that sense, I will not reply to people asking me for hosting or those simply informing me of their arrival in Brussels, without even saying a word on why I should meet them. Couchsurfing is a place for cultural exchange where, I believe, reading thoroughly one's profile is the bare minimum.
P.S. don't be fooled by these harsh words, I am otherwise a nice person ;).

Now, something more about me if you haven't given up yet...

I haven't updated that information in ages, partly because I would like to keep a memory of who I was before :). Quite nostalgic, isn't it? (Basically, all the information under the '-------' is the one inserted when I first created my profile. I have only regularly updated the countries visited and lived in that changed in the meantime.

These days, I live in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 after some short-term stays in Vilnius, Zagreb, and Istanbul during my days as a student. I am originally from Bulgaria and like to think that I have managed to preserve my Eastern European traits while also infusing some of the Western culture.

I am an amateur arts lover, I practice Aikido and love learning new languages. Maintenant j'apprendre la langue française!

I may not host due to space limitations at this moment, but I am always happy to meet interesting people and hear their stories. If you think we would have something in common to talk about, please say so, rather than informing me you will come to visit Brussels :).

I am an extremely keen reader. Among my favorite writers are Astrid Lindgren, J.K. Rowling, Tolstoy, Oscar Wilde, Andersen, etc. My current focus is on self-development and psychology literature, so I read "The subtle art of not giving a fuck", Henry Ford's own story, "The power of habit" and others. I am really fascinated by the human brain and what we are capable of doing.
Amazed at Yuval Noah Harari's brilliance and recommending his books!

I do enjoy European movies, not a big fan of American blockbusters.
