Actually, I'm not a dark person at all. I am very sarcastic, but I have a real lust for life and believe in the beauty of the shards of broken glass on the asphalt. I believe that generally, things will out alright and that mostly, people WANT to share what they have. All you have to do is ask, and the world is yours. It helps to smile a lot, and act interested.

Music, Movies, and Books
TV keeps me from getting lonely in my empty house. So I watch House, MD., Battlestar Galactica, M*A*S*H, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, John from Cincinnati, America's Next Top Model, Dirty Jobs, and Myth Busters. Oh, and the MTV U channel, because of all the pretty music videos. I'm addicted to books by Latinos, specifically Victor Villasenor, Helena Maria Viramontes, H.G. Carrillo, and Junot Diaz. Classic Sci-fi is terrific, like Issac Asimov (Positronic Man) and Robert Heinlein(Pebble in the Sky, Tunnel in the Sky, Stranger in a Strange Land.) The New Adam has my favorite quote of all time: "Goodbye, Vanny--the crowd'll be less of a riot without you." Other books that are terrific are Lamb (by Christopher Moore), The Miracle of Santa Fico, the Luck in the Shadows series, The Unfinished Portrait of Jessica, Tramps like Us (manga series.) Music: Explosions in the Sky, The Unicorns, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros, The Polyphonic Spree, Islands, Bromheads Jacket, Massive Attack, The Avett Brothers, Remy Zero...I like a lot of different bands, actually, but they seem to fall apart just as fast as I fall in love with them. Movies: Lawrence of Arabia, Osama, Tortilla Soup, City of God, Grave of Fireflies, Howl's Moving Castle, Duma, Little Miss Sunshine, John Wayne Movies, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Georgia Rule, Stardust, Stranger than Fiction, Curse of the Golden Flower
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I flew a World War II open-cockpit plane. I stood five feet away from Pope Benedict XVI. I fell completely, wildly, intoxicatingly in love. I survived being dumped. I have very little fear when it comes to the physical world, so I look forward to the future...I've done a lot of interesting things, but they could be classified by a less generous soul as "stupid" and not "amazing." Hey, I'm only 21. I've got a lot of time left to accomplish "amazing."
My Interests
Writing, drawing, taking pictures as I stumble, walk, fly through life...I love my sorority, Pi Beta Phi... Other things that I live for: Mail art, swimming, going to the movies, telling stories, rock climbing, My Little Ponies, concerts where I can jump up and down and dance like mad, concerts where I can sit back on a hill of grass and just listen and chill, making food for people.
