Music, Movies, and Books

“Northern Lights” by Philip Pullman is a strong contender for all time favourite book.

Lately I’ve also taken an interest in Douglas Murray and Ayaan Hirsi Ali publications, especially pertaining to geopolitics and Western World studies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode the Soviet-era Red Arrow train from St Petersburg to Moscow, which was in itself a once-in-lifetime experience.

Went on an overnight cruise of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, and even though it was foggy, I felt it looked even more beautiful and eerie than the sun-drenched photos — it felt like being on another planet as the boat ferried past monumental limestone karsts and verdant islets!

Also went camping in the Scottish Highlands once. In the dead of winter.

Wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy but the views of the munros as the sun rose were indeed absolutely breathtaking.

Able to communicate in Portuguese, English or French.

I am also conversational in Spanish and can try my luck with some Italian.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m open to making friends, and am of course open to hosting as well, should the need arise.

I’m not a great cook, but I love returning a host’s kindness with a gift, and am genuinely looking to establish lasting friendships.
