Rode the Soviet-era Red Arrow train from St Petersburg to Moscow, which was in itself a once-in-lifetime experience.

Went on an overnight cruise of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, and even though it was foggy, I felt it looked even more beautiful and eerie than the sun-drenched photos — it felt like being on another planet as the boat ferried past monumental limestone karsts and verdant islets!

Also went camping in the Scottish Highlands once. In the dead of winter.

Wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy but the views of the munros as the sun rose were indeed absolutely breathtaking.
