About Me

Hi! I'm Vishal, a curious and open-minded traveler from India, currently working as a Software Engineer. I love exploring new cultures, trying local food, and meeting people from around the world.

I travel not just to see places, but to connect with people, understand different ways of life, and share stories over a cup of coffee (or a local drink!).

My Travel Style
I prefer traveling like a local — avoiding tourist traps when possible, using public transport, and discovering those small, authentic spots that don’t always show up on Google. I'm respectful of cultures and always happy to lend a hand around the house, cook an Indian meal, or just have a good conversation.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To meet amazing people, exchange stories and cultures, and make real connections along the way. Couchsurfing is more than just a place to stay — it’s about building community, and I’d love to be a part of that.

Interests
Hiking and outdoor adventures

Street food and home-cooked meals

History, local culture, and old architecture

Music, movies, and meaningful conversations

Tech, travel, and everything in between

Fun Fact
I once hiked barefoot in the Himalayas for a spiritual trek — not something I’d recommend to everyone, but it sure makes for a great story! 😄

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is about people, not just places. While I love visiting famous landmarks and trying new foods, the most memorable parts of my journeys are always the conversations, kindness, and cultural exchange I experience with locals.

Couchsurfing gives me a chance to connect with people in a genuine way — to learn how life is lived in different corners of the world, to share stories, and to create friendships beyond borders.

Whether I’m hosting or surfing, I want to be part of a community built on trust, openness, and curiosity. For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a way to make the world feel a little smaller and a lot more welcoming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed 4 Himalayan Peaks in Greater Himalayas in India.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to cook some simple and tasty Indian dishes, share insights about Indian culture, festivals, and maybe even a few phrases in Hindi! I can also talk about my experience in sports, mountaineering and my beautiful hometown in Himalayas.

Learn: I’m always eager to learn about new cultures, local customs, traditional food, and different ways of life. I’d love to pick up a few words in your language too!

Share: I’d love to share travel stories, good conversations, a positive attitude, and maybe a few laughs. I believe in exchanging experiences that leave both people a little more inspired.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share great conversations, good energy, and stories from my travels and life in India. If you're interested, I’d be happy to cook a homemade Indian meal, teach you some Hindi phrases, or exchange cultural insights.

I’m also respectful of personal space, tidy, and always willing to help around the house or assist with anything you need. Whether it’s chatting over tea, exploring the city together, or just sharing a quiet evening, I’m happy to contribute however I can.

Most of all, I bring a genuine interest in connecting, learning, and creating meaningful memories.
