About Me

I am generally a quiet, introspective person but I'm also a funny person who'll make bad puns and laugh at them. I like helping people out and getting to know them. I like spending a nice sunny afternoon in a park, or sitting by the river and thinking about life. I like listening to music and getting lost in the melody, or sitting in a train, looking out while reflecting on my life. I like a good chat where I get to listen and talk about the heavy stuff. I love talking to people about philosophy, psychology, human behaviour, cultures, life-experiences, and more. I like playing board games in my spare time; in fact, I'm designing a board game on Climate Change at the moment. I've been discovering a lot about life, friendships and people every single day since I came to Germany. I'm socially awkward but I cherish good people and kind gestures the most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the two years that I've been in Germany, I've never been able to travel in Germany. Now that I'm going to Bonn for volunteering at the UN Conference on Climate Change, I see this as the perfect opportunity to meet up with people and share experiences, while learning more about the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Books: My Name is Red by Orhan Pamuk, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Favorite TV Series: Game of Thrones, Friends, Breaking Bad, Prison Break, House of Cards, Hannibal, Lucifer, and Suits

I don't have favorites in music. I just like what I like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once took a stand against corruption in my team, risking getting kicked out of the team, while everyone was against me. I managed to eventually pressure the team leader to follow the right way.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: languages (Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi), cooking (Indian food), writing and creative writing, renewable energy, climate change

Learn: German, foreign culture, playing a musical instrument, vegetarian dishes, board games

Share: Indian culture, growing up in India, perspectives on life and people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences on growing up in India, Indian culture, and religion with the hosts. I am an open-minded person who doesn't get offended, so I'm open to talking about all kinds of topics. I believe that the best way to learn about a country is to talk to the people from the country because ultimately, it's the people who make the country. Apart from that, I can also share my experiences designing my own board game.
