My name, Vivek, apparently means a person who can differentiate good from bad. Not quite sure I can though haha. I was born in India, brought up in Abu Dhabi and now work in Japan. I like solo travel, discovering music, reading non fiction, watching Anime/TV Series/ movies, exploring the city etc...
I consider myself an outdoor person, but some weekends I just stay in my room and binge watch something on some streaming platform.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to truly understand a place is through its people — not guidebooks or tourist attractions. Couchsurfing feels like an open door to real conversations, cultural exchange, and spontaneous adventures that don't fit neatly on an itinerary. I'm here to meet kind souls from around the world, share stories over home-cooked meals or evening walks, and hopefully leave each place with a new friend (or five).

Also… hotels don’t usually offer deep chats about life, music, or your grandma’s secret chai recipe. :)
