About Me

Born to Chilean parents - both from Santiago - but born and raised in NJ. I'm interested in pursuing a career in international development, but I have yet to figure out what aspect of that field interests me the most. Now that I've graduated with a Bachelor's in sociology, I plan on working for a few years until I figure out my career path and, consequently, the Master's degree that would help me achieve that goal.

*Note: I am currently living in the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic.*

Music, Movies, and Books

Les Misérables is my favorite musical EVER. I actually know the words to an embarrassing amount of songs from that show.

My favorite movie is También la lluvia (Even the Rain).

I enjoy listening to classical music (classical, romantic, baroque), bachata, salsa, reguetón, denbow, música andina, pop (American, latino, French), hip-hop, some R&B, and I can appreciate jazz, though I only listen to it sporadically. I do not enjoy merengue, I find the dance quite boring compared to bachata and salsa, but I can tolerate it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love salsa dancing!!! I'm pretty decent at it and would love to learn more :-) I also love to learn languages; I'm currently teaching myself French, so if I can practice that, that would be fantastic.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Chile, Hungary, Spain, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, Honduras, South Africa
