About Me
I've been a software engineer for 20 years, now I'm a newbie farmer. I moved from St. Petersburg, Russia to an abandoned provincial village, with some likeminded people we're making it an ecovillage, building a sustainable community. I love trees, I grow them and plant them in large quantities, trying to revive local ecosystem depleted by years of kolhozing.
We're in Kovalevka villlage, 30 km away from Sebezh; 69 km of the A117 road (Opochka-Minsk). You can get to us by car (hitch-hiking), bus or train to Sebezh, then take taxi from Sebezh to our village (would cost you around 500 rubles). GPS: 56.16961, 28.73138
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love to meet new people and hear their stories. We have a camping, which works from April until October. We usually have people from Russia, foreigners often join us too. We're mostly into wwoofing (farmstay and foor in exchange for help). Travellers can stay with us for a few days for free, without working.
