About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to stay nomadic.

ABOUT ME

i have been a near constant nomad since departing my home country for Australia's sunshine coast.

now that i have returned to the US for a few more years, i find it hard to settle down and am constantly planning new excursions.

in the meantime, i'm in search of meaningful social research employment and soaking up the beauty that South Carolina provides on a near-constant basis.

PHILOSOPHY

i love to explore nomadically, though sometimes it involves a homebase. i love to enjoy new places, even if for a brief moment. i really love to eat and cook and share food with people whilst interspersed with a nice conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i haven't really yet. mostly because i haven't lived in places that are in highly travelled locations, or have not had the proper living situations. would love to when i can, which should be in the next few months.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

again, i've never been requested and have not used yet, though i've been a member for quite some time.

Music, Movies, and Books

for the past few years i've been voraciously consuming material culture books for my degree and had to put aside my love of enjoying new movies and music. that being said, stroszek (herzog), liebe ist kalter als der tod (fassbender), and much german new wave cinema could sum up my film enjoyment; while 2666 (bolano), the master and margarita (bulgakov) and much classic 19th/20th century russian literature could easily illustrate my literary loves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

driving north through the desert in western australia. the only remaining karri forest south of margaret river, western australia. crossing the international dateline in a ship. conducting anthropological fieldwork in singapore on my own.

Teach, Learn, Share
