ABOUT ME

soaking up the atmosphere, meeting lovely people and generally carving out my own wee space here in this amazing, sometimes infuriating, beautiful, incomparable, bustling, dirty, fantastic city.

I'm a language teacher, performance artist and karaoke king who came here on a whim in order to follow my dreams after living for a long while in the north of poland (gdansk, a place where history is tangible everywhere), a couple of years in granada, spain (probably the most beautiful place on earth) and for a long time in belfast (a very special town, forever in my heart).

one thing i learned to appreciate over the years was the importance of being open and hospitable towards people and i'm going to try and do my best to pay my debt forward and welcome you to my place and show you all my favourite nooks and crannies of this city, with all its contrasts and hidden treasures.

books: douglas adams is just the best; love murakami, stanisław lem, philip k dick, china mieville and that sort of stuff; emile zola is amazing, so is margaret atwood and george orwell for those dystopian kicks. also not ashamed to admit to just love to devour the most hare-brained, far-fetched crime novels i can get my hands on
