Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Wendra Junaidi, originally from West Sumatra, Indonesia. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing travel stories. I work as a civil servant, but in my free time, I enjoy exploring historical sites, and tasting local food wherever I go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that traveling is not just about the places you visit, but about the people you meet along the way. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to connect with locals, exchange ideas, and build meaningful friendships around the world. I also enjoy hosting and learning from other travelers.

Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can teach you a bit of Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia), how to cook simple Indonesian dishes like nasi goreng or rendang, etc.
Learn:
I’m always eager to learn new languages, traditional dances, or local ways of living — especially small things that locals often take for granted. I'd also love to learn how to play a musical instrument!
Share:
I can share stories about Indonesian culture and places, help you plan your trip around Sumatra or Java, and if time allows, I'd be happy to show you around my city or cook a meal together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories about Indonesian culture, teach you a few local phrases, and introduce you to some traditional snacks or simple homemade dishes. If I have time, I’d love to show you around my city or join you for a local experience.
I can offer a clean place to sleep, a shower, and simple meals if I'm cooking. Most importantly, I can share honest conversation, kindness, and a peaceful place to rest.
I’d love to take you to hidden local spots, night markets, or hang out at a local coffee shop. I can introduce you to my friends and share how we live day to day here.
I’m not always available to hang out, but I’m happy to give tips about where to go, what to eat, and how to experience the city like a local. You’ll have your space to relax.
