Overview
About Me
Hello Sufers, I am Wen from Taiwan.
I am an HCI master's student and a quiet observer of life. I find balance through yoga, weight training, and deep reading.
I like to visit design, art or any creativity-related exhibitions or events. Usually my weekends are often spent in movies or books. Sometimes I enjoy doing some hand-making habits from my daily life, for example, writing my diary, making a photo book, and making shampoo bar or handmade soap.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since my first CS experience in 2015, I fell in love with this community. I’ve met amazing people who shared stories and feelings I had never heard before, broadening my understanding of the world.
For me, traveling means arriving with a peaceful heart, moving without haste, and simply integrating. I love observing under various cultures and turning these observations into stories through my writing. And one day, I will share these with my kids and grandkids how I met this world.
Interests
Beyond yoga, workouts, and reading, I really like to resonate my life and experience from interaction with others. Sometimes I like to write them as a story but blending my imagination into. Sometimes, I just confused about myself about my behavior, for instance, I ate a few cups of snow in Rovaniemi every day just because I liked it and it was -15 degrees Celsius.

Music, Movies, and Books
I updated these in 2026; they are amazing that changes me permissively.
Book:
[1] Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Joe Dispenza
[2] Mind to Matte: The Astonishing Science of How Your Brain Creates Material Reality by Dawson Church
[3] The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey
They inspired me to reinvent how I perceive the world, and how to train my mindset and character consciously.
Movie:
[1] The Matrix. Even watching it for the first time in 2026, it remains profoundly relevant. I’d choose the red pill every time.
[2] La Tête en Friche. I like this simple story but it is deeply thinking about human connection.
Music: I like classical music such as piano or orchestra, and also country or folk music. But they are not when I'm at the gym.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left behind a very stable life in 2023 to start over in a completely new environment. It doesn't mean I don't like ordinary life, but rather a response to a deep inner calling to explore this wide world. Living in a country with an unfamiliar language and a different culture has been a journey of rediscovery.
You don't really know it's a mistake because the only way to really know it's a mistake is to make the mistake and look back and say yep that was a mistake. Luckily, this is not a mistake. It's way way way too right. I will choose the same 100+ times.
Teach, Learn, Share
1. One of my hobbies is calligraphy. I would love to share this traditional art with!
2. Since I am a meat-free eater, I invented a version of fettuccine bolognese for vegetarians.
3. I'm into collecting children's books of all genres, especially inspiring and interactive ones. I can share them with you if they are with me :)
