Moved to the east coast USA to get away from home. Now I'm on my way to Russia to teach English. I like snowboarding, scuba diving, hiking, frisbee, reading, crosswords, card games, tea, coffee, piano, and many other things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I once picked up a couch surfer from the train station with my friend who was hosting. It sounded like a pretty sweet project to be a part of. Since then I've hosted a few times and surfed on three continents. I'd love to continue meeting new people and sharing anything I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted once in the US and a few times in NZ. I've surfed in NZ, Thailand, and Germany. and I would absolutely love to do more.

Interests

Snowboarding, reading, piano, camping, bridge, frisbee, crosswords, hiking, scuba diving, long talks by the fire. You know, basics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Just finished "Wilt" I've read a fair amount of high school lit (English Teacher). Currently I am reading 'The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.
I have a general addiction to comedies and HBOgo(Last Week Tonight, Silicon Valley). Not to say that AMC hasn't crossed my path(The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the transit of Venus. That was the most awesome (literally) thing I've seen. I've been skydiving. I just got back from Central America where I climbed an extinct volcano to see an active volcano erupt. I can do a flip on a trampoline. I once perfectly folded a fitted sheet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach some music theory basics. I'm not an incredible piano player by any means, but I can read music no problem. I know many card games any of which I'd be happy to teach, or be taught some that I don't know. I can teach you how to throw a frisbee definitely.
I'd like to learn some foreign languages. And learn how to croche.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For you, my dear host, I can offer a general respect of your property and schedule. Depending on the ingredients, I can make some pretty simple foods / snacks. (I love making a good guacamole.) Other than that I just take what's around and see what comes out. if you're willing to let me play around, I'll happily make you something. (Results may vary).
