I live in Wrocław, which is a quite nice place on the Earth. I work mostly as a geography teacher and a tourist guide which means I'm often busy and not able to host during the high season nevertheless you are always welcome to ask if me and my couch are available. Down to earth, liberal, open-minded, rather realistic and responsible, non-smoker, 3x vaccinated against Covid.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I registered here in 2015 because I enjoyed the idea of couchsurfing. I like to meet people from abroad to learn about their countries, traditions, cuisine, etc. I also like to share my knowledge about my city and country with visitors. So far I hosted cca 30 people from 20 different countries and stayed with other 25 at their couches.
Music, Movies, and Books
Depends on the mood, but definitely not rap. I like soundtracks, instrumental, rock and some of pop and classical music. Movies: any with M. Streep, J. Dench, C. Blanchett, K. Winslet or E. McGregor, J. Phoenix, R. Fiennes, Ch. Waltz starring ;-) Books: criminal, adventure, fantasy, novels

I walked from Hejnice to Sobotin in Sudety Mts. (cca 280km) in 2 weeks I made city maps of Wroclaw, Cracow, Warsaw, Poznan, Szczecin, Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot, Katowice, Bielsko-Biala I wrote a guide book about Wroclaw I went to Romania in 1999 to see the total solar eclipse in Bucharest and I've seen it! :-) I climbed the highest peak of Poland (Rysy, 2499m) twice from the polish side: http://kamilfilipowski.blog.pl/files/2011/07/Szlak-na-Rysy-opracowanie-Dariusza-Marciniaka.jpg

What I Can Share With Hosts
I can help you with the visit of Wroclaw as a professional city guide. I can tell you how to use public transport, what is worth visiting, where and when to go and if I'm not too busy I may show you my city around myself including things you won't find in guide books ;-) We may go also to local cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs spending time on a nice conversation and trying some polish food and drinks. If you continue your trip from Wrocław to Warsaw, Cracow, Prague, Dresden, Berlin, Vienna or Budapest I may also advise you how to get there for little money or what to see / experience there.
