Hello Couchsurfers, I am Jessie. I come from Shanghai, China. Together with my husband Wuyang Zhao, we have been with Couchsurfing since 2014.
Before moving to North America, I studied in Manchester (UK) for four years, during which I traveled around Europe with a tight budget but unfortunately didn't know the option of Couchsurfing then. It was during our years in Toronto when my husband first encountered Couchsurfing, and soon we started to travel with our local hosts and also hosted several guests at our humble university family housing apartment. Now settling in Austin (TX) with my husband and two-year-old daughter, I look forward to continuing our journey with Couchsurfing as a host in return for what we've received from our wonderful and welcoming hosts in the past.

Having lived in four countries of three continents, we love meeting new friends and sharing stories with people. By far our Couchsurfing experience has been wonderful!

We are both PhDs in accounting. But academia does not necessarily mean nerd/geek. We love talking with people with different backgrounds from us.
