About Me

Moving to Mexico City on September 1

My passion for travel and adventures has led me to live in some far flung places including San Francisco, New York City, Madrid, Mallorca, Bali, Melbourne, Nicaragua, Tulum, Philadelphia, and currently Mexico City.

New experiences shape new desires. So I tend to realign my personal philosophy to help me best accomplish my goals. But if I had some to sum it up, it's that we should value action above all else. What value does a thought you've never acted on have?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to meet good peeps, no creeps. I don't have a home in Mexico City yet so I won't be hosting. But hoping to be able to soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dude, that is a long list. Ask me. But recently I find myself reading a lot of business, self-help and biography, listening to anything but country, and watching a lot of documentary and foreign films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once participated in a traditional Balinese ceremony called an Odalan where I witnessed a high priest go into trance to purge the village's temple of dark spirits. While in his trance he danced with a knife-glove (think Freddie Crouger), ate shards of glass, drank an entire bottle of hard spirits, and then bit the head off a live chicken and sucked it's blood. When he came out of his trance he sat with me and a group of my friends as calm as could be, and shared an amazing meal with us. The experience was surreal.
