ABOUT ME

We do some science: Yel studies entomology, Erie - languages of indigenous peoples of Russia. Yel also teaches Ecology and Biology, Erie teaches English and Spanish (sometimes).We are keen on different types of DIY (making our magazine, unusual house decoration, braiding friendship bracelets etc). We like cycling and prefere to use this type of transport (around the city) as often as we can.Erie practices yoga.We like living in the nature much more than in the city and we spend some time in our countryhouse 400 km from St.Petersburg and if there is such possibility we can host you there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like to travel, generally hitch-hiking, and surfing is very important for us. We like to host people when there is such possibility, it's just great to deal with people from different countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We host many people every month - acquaintances of our acquaintances etc, not only via Couchsurfing. Most times that was quite interesting and educational experience.

As for books, it is beat generation literature, Russian, German and British classic literature, some science fiction authors (Bradbury, Strugatskiye...), Vonnegut, Pelevin... Many authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yel got a ride on a bike during hitch-hiking in Siberia and had a crash (but he's alive!).
Erie visited a heathen celebration of Chukchi ethnic group in the Far North-East of Russia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yel can tell you a lot about practically any kind of biological stuff, Erie can tell you about different ethnic grougps of Russia and their languages, especially about the language she is studying - Chukchi language. Erie can tell and show you something about yoga if you are not too professional in it, if you are (or if you're just the same level as she), she'd like to learn something form you)Currently we are very interested in learning spanish (Yel) and developing skills in it (Erie).
