Overview
About Me
My first backpacking trip was in 2021, through Mexico and I fell in love with backpacking. I studied history and anthropology.
I consider myself spontaneous and a little bit reckless. Born and raised in Chicago and no matter how many other cities I've visited, it is still no.1 in my heart.
My hobbies outside of traveling include reading tarot cards and astrology. I make hyper specific playlists on Spotify. I also read for fun. My personal library is growing and I no longer have space on my bookshelf. I like going to the gym and weightlifting, doing pilates, and sometimes - if I hate myself - I'll do some cardio. And obviously I love dancing, mostly cumbia sonidera, bachata, and regional Mexican.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My favorite thing about traveling is meeting people and learning about their story and aspirations and although a life long friendship might not form at that time and moment a genuine connection was formed 😌
Also, I love Anthony Bourdain, and I feel like couchsurfing is such a Tony thing. I gotta.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is VERY diverse. Some other language music I like is Korean, Greek, Portuguese, Italian, French, Arabic, and Spanish.
Some all time fave artists: Jenni Rivera, Chalino Sanchez, Fleetwood Mac, The Lumineers, Mon Laferte, Shakira, Maneskin, Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, Chappell Roan, The Smiths.
I'm the worst person when it comes to watching movies. There's been so many times where people ask if I watched a movie and when I say no, they're surprised. I am working on it though. I like Studio Ghibli movies though! I can rewatch Zombieland like no other.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked an active volcano in Guatemala
Volcano boarded in Nicaragua
Ran with the bulls in Spain
Went to a random house party in Mexico
Was invited into a local Berber mans home
What I Can Share with Hosts
Spanish lessons lol. I got jokes too. Oh and I’ve worked in the retail, service, and office industry so I have some really good stories. Along with travel stories, things just get wackier the more I travel. If you like spicy food, I'll make you a plate. As long as I can find the ingredients! I bring Mexican candy because it's the best and everyone should try it at least once in their life. We can do a deep dive into your birth chart or I can read your cards (tarot).
