Could not host for now, but willing to hangout/communicate.
Jul., 2021
@old friends on Couchsurfing:
I paid a small amount to support this platform, but in case my profile will be inactive someday, you could reach me out at sensesliving on Instagram.
Feb.,2020
I am sorry to say I could not host recently because of coronavirus...staying at home without contacting others is the best protection for ourselves and others.
We will fight and win this war with virus!
Hope the world will go back alive soon.
And welcome you at my home then :)
Nov.2019
I’m trying to be a minimalist (or I will define it as “enoughlist”).
you will find a “recycle box” at my home where you could find stuffs I don’t use frequently anymore, also some stuffs left by other guests. You are free to take the ones you like and leave your unnecessary stuff for other travelers as well.
Apr.2019
(It is a little late but) Recently I’m interested in Philosophy and Politics, so it would be wonderful if you have expertise on it and could guide me where to start. Thanks :)
Nov., 2018
Recently I get cosy carpet for living room so we could sit on it talking, eating and watching movie now, bye bye cold hard floor :)
*Beijing is going to start garbage classification soon (which is a good initiative), pls join me with this. We started it late and there is still long way to go, but every minor acts count for a sustainable nature and better society.
【About Me】
Hey there!
I’m Ying Sai (塞莺), in Chinese it means nightingale beyond north of the Great Wall.
I’m from Mongolian ethnic group (蒙古族)of China. My dad is from Mongolian group and mum is Han (汉族), as a result I am born with and affected by both culture.
If you are interested in Chinese ethnics, could click the below:

I’m living in Beijing, China now. I like this city I have lived for 8 years for its history, diversity and energy.
I love cooking, food, music (post rock, new classical & jazz) and modern art, always ready to learn and experience, enjoy sharing.
I’m a big fan of traveling, have traveled to 30 courtiers & regions since my first international trip to Nepal in 2011.
So many wonderful people I met on the road, being passionate, helpful and willing to share, inspire me to be more open-minded, curious and fun.
I just started to host only since Apr.2019, before that I was sharing apartments with friends and not able to host.
Now, hope I could have the chance to introduce this amazing city to you!
*Sorry. I don’t accept friend request before we know each other, let’s get to know each other first :)
【Tips Before Arrival】
- You could download WeChat (Chinese WhatsApp or Line) before arrival in China; since you need VPN to use WhatsApp and it’s super slow here even with VPN...
- It is suggested that you live in any hotel or hostel on the first day of arrival to make registration with police station, through which you could avoid trouble when departure from China. (It has happened once to one of my guests...)
