HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING travel shouldn't be a privilege for those who can afford it...there is always a room/a couch/a floor space/a yard to share. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE We have been hosting folks for the last couple years...Last year we camped with Occupy Hong Kong (great and unique CS host); stayed in a Ger in Ulaanbaatar (best host family of all time); baked traditional russian meals in Irkutsk and then traversed frozen lake baikal by car and foot with a wonderful and talented English teacher and her students; eaten Russian pancakes with a lovely couple in Novosibirsk, visited the arctic ocean with an inspirational couple in Murmansk, Russia; celebrated Ukranian Mardi Gras with a wonderful couple (and soon to be baby) in Ukraine, got pinned in Bucharest for Martisor by the greatest love birds and cat parents in eastern europe, traversed the former Yugoslovia - willingly getting stuck in Kosovo with our brother from another motha, and found ourselves in the village of our great, great, great.........great grandfather.
