HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

travel shouldn't be a privilege for those who can afford it...there is always a room/a couch/a floor space/a yard to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have been hosting folks for the last couple years...Last year we camped with Occupy Hong Kong (great and unique CS host); stayed in a Ger in Ulaanbaatar (best host family of all time); baked traditional russian meals in Irkutsk and then traversed frozen lake baikal by car and foot with a wonderful and talented English teacher and her students; eaten Russian pancakes with a lovely couple in Novosibirsk, visited the arctic ocean with an inspirational couple in Murmansk, Russia; celebrated Ukranian Mardi Gras with a wonderful couple (and soon to be baby) in Ukraine, got pinned in Bucharest for Martisor by the greatest love birds and cat parents in eastern europe, traversed the former Yugoslovia - willingly getting stuck in Kosovo with our brother from another motha, and found ourselves in the village of our great, great, great.........great grandfather.

hiked the colorado trail, climbed nearly all the 54 14,000ft mountains in Colorado, talked my way into a federal prison, climbed grand teton, ate boiled pigs and lambs blood in China, spent a night on the great wall, hiked on lake baikal in winter, lived on a romanian monastery, hiked across the island of Corsica...
