About Me

I’m Tina. I am young but with all confidence which all things will keep going, I believe there is a lot to accomplish if I try.
I was born in a small family with parents and 2 older sisters. Our family is full of laughter and joy. I grew up in the north of Taiwan, Hsinchu. However, my parents are kind. They let us have many chance to go outside the country and allow us to go abroad to experience the things we have ever seen. My sisters are pretty good at languages. One’s specialty is in Spanish, the other’s specialty is in Arabic. I am still work on my English. Now, our home had moved to Yuanlin. Despite the fact that everything is not familiar to me, the thing become better and better now.

Unlike most typical young Chinese girls, I am quiet crazy and extroverted girl. I am not afraid to speak. But when I am trying to organize a correct sentence, it takes me lot of seconds. Thus, I always want to experience the environment in all English.

My attitude to life is that refuse to be unhappy, be cheerful instead. Sometimes people forget to smile and let it go. When you put down your bad things, the good things are coming soon. I want to be a happy girl no matter what. It is because that sometimes when I am down, few people will care actually. We need to look the positive side and walk through the frustration then things will go on. Tomorrow is a beautiful day for me. I expect that while I am getting older, keep this in my mind and the things will go to the right way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a Taiwanese student applying for the University of Central Oklahoma. The reason I am here it is because to improve the ability of my English, the best way is experiencing the culture here.
We are on the program of Taiwanese exchange program, and I am really excited to experience the couching surfing.

(I am a surfer now in USA. I will fix "My Home" when I back in Taiwan. Because I need to ask my parents if they are interested in this.

Interests

Watching TV shows, like "Friends" or Korean Drama.
Playing Saxophone and the Piano
Organize things that around me when it is a mess XDD
Taking a nap every day.... (I hope during my trip I won't have to take a nap, because there's no time for me to sleep! I need to see more in USA now!!)
Recently, I like skateboarding. My friend taught me on the Thanksgiving break and I think it is really cool for girl playing that!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:All kinds of Jazz music or Alternative rock music

MOVIES:
I like to watch movies about family love. I think it is important to cherish your family time, because you won't have so much time after you being a parent. Like the movie "I am Sam", "Blind Side".
Another movie style I like is Inspirational movie, like "Front of the Class". It is nothing impossible for those who have disability. Not to mention for those who are healthy. So try your best during your life time and make a good memory. No regret!
Actually, I am a movie person. If you have a movie that is recommend, tell me! I will watch it right away. :-DD

BOOKS:
Sorry that I didn't read a lot of books..... so I don't know much books written in English. I know Harry Potter series are really good. Although I just watch the movie series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being the Symphonic and Marching band (UCO marching band in fall semester 2015, my first time) performer in front of the 500~1000 audiences. I have learned Saxophone for 8 years. I love the feeling while everyone is trying together hard. If you finally finish your performance and everyone was clapping hands for you, you will love it and that will be really amazing. But, I am not professional. My major is International Business in Taiwan. I just love the music and the people in the band.

(I don't have the instrument now, so I am sorry I can't play for my host.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH:
I can teach you how to play Saxophone if you have instrument, but If you actually have instrument, I believe you are a better player than I do. HAHAHA We can improve together. Let's for sure!

LEARN:
I want to learn more about United States, but at the same time, I need to learn how to protect myself in the foreign country. I hope I will have a good trip and be safe when I back to Taiwan.

SHARE:
If you have the chance to go to Palau, you must go there. That place is really nice and beautiful. I think it is the best diving spot in my life. It has milk lake and non poisonous jelly fish. Cool place to go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Taiwanese or Chinese food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Sometimes Japanese food)

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Palau, Singapore, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Taiwan, United States
