Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I believe there is something to learn from every person I meet. Everyone has been on their own journey with their own stories to tell and beliefs to share, and I would love to get these perspectives from people around the world. Also I get really bored staying alone in a hotel when I travel solo!
Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is eclectic to say the least. I love alternative rock, hip hop, deep house, tech house, drum n bass, folk rock, good pop classics, motown, and of course those old ballads. I feel like I never give my taste justice by naming artists/genres because there is so much music I like out there! I love movies and I watch an egregious amount of Netflix. Favorite shows: Dexter Lost Shameless True Detective It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rick & Morty and many more Movies Any Tarantino, especially Pulp Fiction & Jackie Brown Just about anything Disney pre-2006 Clerks 2 Interstellar Books Watchmen Gone Girl
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Helped start a company developing a mental health and stress-relieving app; worked on a PSA about anti-bullying with an Illinois state Senator; spent more than 24 consecutive hours drunk and only sustained minor injuries
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to accept others more easily and become more comfortable with yourself. Many have told me that I have brought a lot of insight and light into their life. Nothing makes me happier than improving the life of someone else. I can also help you with your English, I have experience in tutoring non-native speakers. I can learn anything. We are never done. I will share anything I can. Will probably be traveling light but would love to cook a wine & pasta dinner :)

My Interests
I love music--dancing, going to concerts, festivals, jamming in the shower, etc. I love to hike, exercise, go camping, and party with my friends, but having deep & intense conversations is my favorite hobby of all. I love to discuss Economics, politics, gender/sexuality, the meaning of life, sociology, psychology, and philosophy. I talk a lot but have never been called boring before.
