About Me

I translate occasionally and travel as much as I can. I’m a bit from everywhere. I live with my flatmate Mimi, a very sweet girl from chile, and her dog Koko, and of course my little crazy French Bulldog Loki. I love meeting new people, going to listen to music, having a good laugh, trying new stuff, and finding friendship across borders. I’ve also been told I have a very politically incorrect sense of humor, which I share with most of my friends and flatmate.

Note on Surfing: I do travel a lot, so if you are unable to ask for a day I'm probably not around. Also, we host people we think we are going to get along with and are going to enjoy staying with us and we aren't great guides for general tourism (if you are okay with doing that alone or with other CS, great!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like traveling a different way, with an interest not so much in the staple monuments as much as getting a feel for the people that live in a place, their daily life, etc. That's why I usually take longer trips, however I feel with Couchsurfing I can get a feel for the place even with a few days. Furthermore I love meeting new people and getting to know new cultures. Finally, I also believe in the ideals of Couchsurfing, especially with what is happening in most big cities because of Airbnb.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I read quite a bit of non-fiction as well as novels (mostly fantasy), but to be honest I'll read anything that falls onto my lap. Favorites: The Road, Farenheit 451, Cien años de soledad, anything by Atwood, Murakami, Gaiman or Irving.

Movies and Series: Anything worth watching, including the odd stupid thing on hangover Sundays.

Music: 70's prog rock is my kryptonite, rock in general (there is really cool Stoner movement going on at the moment), but mostly I'm a bit of a music lover and listen to tons of different genres. Trap and Reggaeton excluded (listening to anything of the kind at home shall be answered by defenestration).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've moved countries more than once on a whim and with nothing than a small suitcase and somehow managed to find new friends and a life every time.

Overcame some very big obstacles in my life and managed to find happiness and the sense of humor in everything bad.

I've been told I manage to do/put myself in crazy situations every week, usually resulting in a funny story to tell.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very good with languages, so if you want to practice or learn one of the ones I know I'll be happy to help. My drinking game is also quite on point, free lessons on how to drink anybody under the table are always available on visits. I'm also a bit of a yeswoman, so if you have a crazy suggestion, I'm in!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am full of stories to tell and love sharing good times with others!
