About Me

I’m Zhuldyz, i live in Astana. I have registered here several years ago but didn’t experience hosting people. My kids were little and also didn’t have enough space for guests. But now situation changed and I would be glad to host and be hosted. It should happen soon I hope ))). So don’t worry, I’m normal and you will be safe. I live in the center of Astana and it’s easy to explore the city from my place.

Im curious, open-minded, and always ready for new adventures. I love connecting with people from different cultures, exchanging stories, and discovering the little details that make each place unique. My friends say I’m funny, easy to talk to, and I bring good energy wherever I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet inspiring people, share meaningful conversations, and explore cities through the eyes of locals. For me, travel is not only about places — it’s about people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I’m a true millennial — grew up with J.Lo, Britney Spears, and Backstreet Boys in my headphones. I also love smooth R&B, a bit of light rock, and some good jazz.
Movies: I enjoy mind-twisting detective stories with no obvious ending, thrillers that keep you on edge, and smart comedies.
Books: I’m drawn to personal growth, self-reflection, psychology, history, and anthropology. I’m fascinated by human behavior and the cause-and-effect behind it. I also enjoy books about marketing and how ideas spread.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped create a bilingual cookbook preserving traditional Kazakh recipes for the next generations — a small cultural bridge for people around the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to teach you a few Kazakh or Russian phrases, show you how to cook some traditional dishes, and share stories about life and culture in Central Asia. In return, I’m excited to learn about your local traditions, discover hidden gems in your city, and try new recipes together. And of course, I’m always happy to swap travel stories, enjoy good food, and share lots of positive vibes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my culture, cook something special from Kazakhstan, help with language practice, and bring lots of curiosity and appreciation for your city.
