I'm Silke. I studied African languages and cultures and anthropology. At the moment I'm working as a language teacher (Dutch to adults). I love travelling, discovering new places, meeting people with different backgrounds and interests, good vegetarian food, living in the concrete jungle, but mainly enjoying its parks and social and cultural activities.

I started with hosting people while i was still a student, and living in Ghent.
I only surfed once, in Budapest, and it was a very nice experience.

Three times yes, although i don't read that much as i would like to.
Music: I like and appreciate a lot of different styles of music. Depending of the moment i like latin, rock, reggae, jazz, hiphop, funk, soul, folk, accoustic, ... .
Movies: The tiger and the snow (why am I that bad in remembering names?)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I like the surprising experiences that traveling can bring us. While traveling I feel more alive, more free, more myself.

The very best was a trip in Ethiopia with my best friend, and enjoying the injera, coffee, mountains, hyenas and lovely people!

I can teach you some of the languages I speak, and you can teach me a little yours. I make some vegetarian hamburgers, cheesecake or empanadas that people like. Or I can show you some techniques to make jewelery by hand. I can tell you a little about my travels in South America or Ethiopia. I can show you around if I have time.
