About Me

Hello! I’m an open-minded and friendly person, always excited to share my hometown, Beijing, with others. I enjoy introducing visitors to the local food and places that mean a lot to me, like Houhai and the city center. You’re welcome to stay at my place, and I’ll be happy to offer you some traditional Beijing dishes—either cooked by my family or myself, depending on what’s convenient at the time.

I spent 90 days Couchsurfing in Europe, which was a truly memorable experience, and I met some amazing people. I hope we can have some cultural exchanges during your stay and enjoy exploring the city together.

I grew up in Beijing and have witnessed the city’s transformation—its chaos, warmth, orderliness, and coldness. From living in the hutongs as a child, I watched it step by step grow into a massive metropolis. I have a deep understanding of local culture and am passionate about sharing it with anyone unfamiliar with it. I love my hometown.

I’m familiar with the underground culture, subcultures, queer communities, and all the underground clubs in both Beijing and Shanghai. If you’re curious, we can explore them together.

I also love exploring food, and I’ve been indulging in all kinds of cuisines across Europe. I’m very open to trying dishes from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At first, I thought Couchsurfing might just be about accommodation and cultural experiences. Now, I feel it’s more about a connection between people, about communication. It’s truly beautiful.

A lot of!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once explored the ancient Jingxi Road in the Beijing suburbs with a friend. We came across goats, ancient ruins, tombs, and it was winter. As it got dark, we completely lost our way, and I started crying in fear. My friend, in contrast, was incredibly brave and calm in this extreme situation. He led us down the mountain through steep bushes along a goat trail, and we finally reached an old village. Peaceful. 😇
