About Me

" ... a student of life, with a spirit of friendship"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best and unusual CS experiences

* :-( My peculiar CS experience : I was hosted by someone in Melbourne, Australia where he was just squatted an empty, very dirty and run-down house. He shared the house with 10 or more people (he didn't tell me this situation prior to my arrival). The room I slept was cold, dirty and smelly, and there was no mattress. I couldn't sleep the entire night. One week later, I saw in the front page of a local newspaper, the picture of my host, he was arrested by police, he was charged with illegally staying on that property.

* :-) My best CS guest : I hosted someone from a small town in Southern Italia. He was in constant travel and only spent 6 months in the last 20 years in his hometown, and for the rest of his time, he traveled to almost every country you can think of. He requested to stay only for 2 nights, he end up spent a month in my house, but I was quite happy. He has a different way of looking at life, spirituallity, nature and we are all connected ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I went to the Southern most island that is one of the closest to South Pole, Tasmania in Australia. It was very cold down there in winter, the island is very quite, serene, tranquil, scenicly beautiful. The capital city, Hobart, is an old-style, laid-back and surreal. It can give you the feeling that you are still living in the 70's or 80's era.
