I registered years ago, but for a long time I haven't had the courage to actually try it. Around my 30th birthday I decided to give it a try - to have the chance to meet wonderful people and get to know the local life even more, and to show the real beauty and possibilities of Budapest to fellow travelers - it's really a great place to live and to visit too. :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I founded Hungarian Travelers Meetup Group. We currently have more than 650 members, meetups every first Tuesday of the month, and I have more good friends thanks to this. :) The original motive was that I rarely met other Hungarian travelers while I was traveling, and I missed to be amongst other travelers while staying put at home, so I wanted to have a community of us in Budapest where we can meet - everyone speaks English, so despite the name every nationality is welcome on the meetups.

A bottle of wine, or a few beers. Shared meals. Long walks around the area. Good conversations, and hopefully a new friendship. But since I'm a big girl now used to travel and living alone I don't need to be accompanied or helped every hour - I will be happy to spend as much time with my host(s) as it fits both of our preferences. :)
