About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I think my friends would agree that I am totally "fuori di testa"; just like them. Current mission is to be happy and to get the house cleaned :). Will put up totally wacky people (non-destructive and short term), if they will put me up and put up with me.
ABOUT ME
OK. I love sharing a bottle of wine in company and I love all pets, although I don't currently have any. I also smoke.
I have a very unpredictable job, so sometimes I can be busy dawn till dusk (even at weekends) and sometimes I am totally free (or any combination of above).
I have a free bedroom which sleeps 2, and a double bed-settee in the room I work in (hard mattress, good for bad backs).
I have never really met anyone I haven't learned from. I have had a fair number of couch surfers, and certainly learned something from all of them.
They were all lovely in their own ways.
PHILOSOPHY
Well, now, this is something a site with no person attached is NOT about to "hear".
Personal, physical representation, please. Then I just might ...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Exchanges on sites in Italy.
N couch surfers. All nice. All trustworthy. There were a couple I didn't really get on with. That's all. Have also been to see some of my couchsurfers. They tell me that that's not couchsurfing, that's visiting friends. However, I wouldn't have had these friends to visit if they hadn't come couchsurfing with me!
Interests
Dancing, psychology etc, didactics, mountaineering/free climbing, semantics, people, languages, the supernatural, ice skating ... anything really except football, television, golf and anything requiring that I stay totally still for long periods of time (although I can take bird watching).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: all except heavy metal, although I do like Epic metal). Books: prefer metaphysical and "futurist" poetry, stream of consciousness, Zola, Gide, Dorothy Dunnet, Ruth Rendall, good science fiction - or simply any old well-constructed novel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
See above. I've always had friends of friends/relatives of course, but I never really seem to have enough time to spend with any of them (couch surfers OR friends of friends)...
Was also deported at gunpoint by the secret police in Algeria during the war in '80, for example. But that seemed pretty normal, given the circumstances. Also, could be considered a passive experience, but was not ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching is a job for me - I'm paid for it - so it either has to be fun or an exchange.
Little I'm good at can be taught in a couple of sessions, unless you're perceptive and it just happens. That's how I learn, like other couchsurfers I've known.
However, there are little things (like one girl who came here was from an aristocratic family and didn't know how to peel carrots). These little things I can teach :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
Depends on who you are. Travelling experiences certainly. I can also take you to the biggest (and most worthy) rubbish dump in the north of Italy, but you do have to climb up it with me.
Depending on the season, we can go and visit the lakes. If you wish to hire a car (I don't have one), I will share the expense if I'm free to come with you. Much better in a car!
