Did you consider staying in a hostel? There is HI-Edmonton Hostel not so far from park.

VICancun , Cancun, MEX, 2 months ago

How close are you looking to Hawrelak? That really isn't an area with hotels, as it is primarily the University / parks area. Most hotels are located in downtown Edmonton, which is just a short bus ride, or 30 minute walk to the park.

There's also a newer indoor rock climbing gym on the west end called Rock Jungle... We've been there a few times, it's HUGE! And they have some auto-belays which is nice.

Bahman Afzali, Köln, DEU, 2 months ago

Hello Yeggies,

I'm Bahman from Germany and living in Edmonton for another 4 months.

I'd really like to go to some good plays in Edmonton. I know about some festivals, like fringe, but that's not until August :-( I am wondering if there are recommended plays anytime soon.

So let me know if you are going to the theatre and I will join you!

sand on whyte is july 4. street performers also starting on the 4th. and every Friday night there are night markets at 104street downtown.

There is Footloose playing at the jubilations.

Bahman Afzali , Köln, DEU, 2 months ago

Thank you for the advice.
But I was more looking for actual plays, like in regular theatre.

Courtney Lameman , Busan, KOR, 2 months ago

Wicked is coming to town, tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster. You can also check out Rapid Fire Theatre if you're into Improv (they're really good). Otherwise, the Citadel and Timms Centre are some great places for plays!

I'm only in town for a couple weeks, but if you would like a play buddy, let me know :)

what trade are you?

Stefan Silbernagel , Moersdorf, DEU, 2 months ago

I would like apply for a construction/technical job. Jobs as a leasehand/mechanic etc. Do you have an advice ?
Thanks

Zach Sept , Edmonton, CAN, 2 months ago

Hi Stefan, do you have a working visa? A phone number for employers to contact you? Also do you have a car or some mode of transportation?

The best places for high-paying work in construction/ oil industry is in Nisku. About 10 minutes south of Edmonton. If you are interested I can recommend a few shops you should apply at.
