Absorb as much Chinese culture as I can before my study trip.

ABOUT ME

A former film student at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL (VERY new program). Currently in pursuit of a degree in Political Science w/ emphasis in International Relations.

I enjoy cooking (typically for my wife and myself, but guests are always welcome). We love hosting people and will gladly show anyone the sights in and around St. Louis and the metro East.

PHILOSOPHY

Non-pushy Christian (who wishes that qualifiers like that weren't necessary). Personal philosophy is what works for that person though. Live w/o regrets, even if that means retroactively not regretting stupid things you've done in your past. Do stupid things often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Introduced a large number of Chinese students to the tradition of Thanksgiving. The American students set up a buffet style dinner w/ all the classics (including a turkey that I made, which almost wasn't done on time). It was hectic, stressful, but most of all, it was a great time w/ friends from the other side of the planet (if I'd ever dug that hole I was always talking about, maybe I'd have met them sooner, huh?)

Every day for me is an opportunity to be an ambassador and that's a blessing I don't look upon lightly.
