Overview
About Me
I live in the town of Paoay, Ilocos Norte just right at the back of San Agustin Church - one of the 4 Baroque Churches of the Philippines inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
My ultimate goal is to visit every UNESCO World Heritage Site - basically see the world and tell them about my country Philippines!
I worked in the tourism industry and the local governement before, have had projects related to tourism management and planning, as well as cultural field works around the Philippines. I regularly give talks on the field - as well as with the phenomenon of traveling - to students having their field trips in Ilocos as well as during special occasions in universities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because hospitality is a strong Filipino trait, and I believe in the power and joy of sharing experiences among travellers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacked around India all by myself and met fantastic people!
It was a dream come true to explore what this cultural and historical powerhouse nation had to offer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I cook good Filipino food! In my recent trip to El Nido, in the lodge I stayed at I was teased by the owner to prepare a Filipino dinner. I cooked for 7 people - 3 italians (who have their own hotels!), 3 Germans (one had a BnB in South Africa), and 1 French. They said that it was the best Filipino food they had :)
I'm a story teller - I have to be one in my speaking engagements.
I'd love to hear everyone's travel stories too!
Countries I’ve Visited
Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam
