Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Being perfect in being Human Being

ABOUT ME

Quite early in life I started to be fascinated with this world, firstly with it's natural diversity, than with whole alternate world of human culture. I knew that I want to travel and learn a lot about it. And so am I - student of Cultural Anthropology, haveing feald reserach in Ukraine, traveling by hitchhike or train whenever it's possible.
On every day I try to br calm and open-minded, but I like to go crazy when situation is good for it. I have also something from the rebel in my nature, i'm suspended between being regular, ordinary guy and half-punk half hippie. I'm also vegetarian, but i'm not so devoted to it - some times common meal with strenger is more important for me.

From almost year I spend quite a bit of my time with my girlfriend Magda. (https://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=5HA362IM5) We also started to travel together every time it's possible, so most likely I'll be looking for couch for two :)

PHILOSOPHY

The way I feel, and try to live my life is highly ifluenced by Buddhism but also, in some ways, by Christianity and uropeian leftist philosophy. I believ in kindness and compassion, as most important valiues. I think that one can't avoide suffering and all things must pass, but selfishness and greed are basic sources of it. It's worth for me to fight them within one-self. I live my life because I think it's worth living. Even if all things flow in constant stream that dosen't makes them unimportant - it makes them precious, as every secound is miracle that can't be copied.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can't host anybody in my flat. But I'll be more than happy to become your guide through the Warsaw. I really enjoy this place, know a little bit of history, and also can give a glimpse of multicltural and undergroud Warsaw.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None (by couchsurfing.org) But I used to look for friends and friends of a friands who live in interesting places to avoid hotels and others form of massive tourism.

Intereses

Traveling, exploring distant and neighboring cultures with no lack of curiosity about what's behind next corner. Looking for new things to eat or cook (or both)Danceing traditional polish dances/attending on punk rock gigs. Exploreing forgotten places in cities on lazy walks with friends. Studying social sciences, philosophy, and Buddhism.

Música, películas y libros

Hard question, as nothing is in more constant flow than ones interests and feelings.
I like music connected with rebel, psychodelic rock from the 60' but also punk-rock, specialy polish bands from the 80'. I like to explore music of distant cultures, I'm head over heals in love with tuvan/mongolian throat singing, hindu sitar, and balkan music is my favoured for a party.
Most of all i love combination of both traditional music and west european influences - bands like Yat-Kha or Gogol Bordello to name the few.

I don't watch TV, so if I have some free time at home a prefer to read a book. Last time I stuck a litlle bit in anthropology but have read few astonishing books - last one was Ourania by J.M.G le Clezio. Disgarce by Coetzee was also one that stroke me. And I still have "For whom the bell tolls" in beck of my head. But often I don't like wasteing time for prose and read poems instead. (Rimbaud and Bursa are still among my favorites, but there's also place for Milarepa, and it's only few.) I also enjoy wacky works (dramas and paintings) of Witkacy (Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz)
I'm not a movie-freak, usualy I looking for a long time for a film to watch- now I'm exploreing russian cinema. I enjoyed "Storm over Asia" (Really old one, about revolution in Mongolia) and "Igla" surrealistic film about drugs and mafia from the 80'

Algo increíble que he hecho

I think that would be still my trip to Buryatia. Hitchhikeing, travelling near Baikal, visiting Buddist temples and meeting great people.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

As cultural anthropologist I can teach about different topics from social sciences. I'm also intersted in Buddhism, and can share some of my (not really broad) knowlege on this topic. I also know quite well russian language and culture, and also a little bit of ukrainian - I'd be really glad to share those skills with anyone interested in east (Former Soviet Union)
I'd be happy to learn anything from sciences- most of all phisics and biology. I also want to learn as many languages as it's possible for me - maybe spanish for start?
