I'm an educator and former lawyer who enjoys creative writing, photography, making art, reading books, cooking, knitting, spending time in nature hiking, cross-country skiing, cycling or simply walking.

I grew up bilingual (French and English) in the beautiful city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, before falling in love with Canada's North, which I now call home. On my best days, I meditate, do yoga or exercise to stay balanced and present.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love learning about people's lives and exchanging meaningful conversations. I am interested in creating community. I like that Couchsurfing creates opportunities for people to connect with each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pop music, both mainstream (Troye Sivan, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Lorde, Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa) and left-of-centre (Kacey Musgraves, Lykke Li, Sampha, Years & Years, Shura, SZA, Tinashe, Rhye, Grimes, Kelela...).
I love queer movies of various countries, including God's Own Country, Heartbeats (Les amours imaginaires), and 120 Beats Per Minute (120 Battements par minute).
I like contemporary fiction (Edouard Louis is a favourite) and devour non-fiction in wide-ranging topics (a recent favourite is Yuval Noah Harari for Sapiens and Homo Deus).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteer for six months at a school in a fly-in Inuit community in the Canadian Arctic, above the 70th parallel.
