I am originally from Florida, and have just returned after a 10 year ramble through the Pacific Northwest (Alaska and Washington) and around the world via bicycle and sailboat. I left Alaska on a bike tour around the world until a sailing job opportunity pulled me to the sea. I am now taking a break to be more grounded with the intention of reconnecting with family, and trying my hand out at all things baking at my new job. If I had to choose a super power it would be omniscience or telekinesis.

I have used Couchsurfing in the past for trips and have had some memorable experiences. I think it can be a wonderful way to meet new people and stay open minded while you are home or across the word.

I feel most alive when I’m enjoying nature, music, art, creation, movement, and community. I love to continuously be exposed to new experiences and activities, especially when they can be shared. On clear days, you can normally find me hiking and exploring around, cycling, rock climbing, kayaking, doing aerial silks, practicing yoga, playing music, or trying out a new, odd hobby of the month – like contra dancing! I have a couple odd habits like randomly making sound effects, rarely wearing shoes, and taking pictures on animal statues. I also really enjoy gardening and hope to incorporate more sustainable practices of living into my daily routine every day.

Books wise, I have been reading a little bit of everything these days- from Thich Nhat Hanh to Sapiens to catching up on classical like The Bell Jar and The Road. I also like anything by Wendell Berry. Movies: I am a fan of Wes Anderson and I love the movie Amelie.
I like most music, but musicians with odd voices are a treat.

Between a mix of biking and sailing, I allllmmmmooosst circumnavigated the globe, no thanks to COVID. I also befriended a llama and lived to tell the tale.

I have learned something from almost each and every stranger I have encountered on my adventures. I am hoping to meet some positive, open minded people that can share a fun fact and possibly a meal together. I am open to learning just about anything you want to share or teach me, but I would especially love to share in the areas of cooking, herbalism, organic gardening/permaculture, yoga/meditation, art, or any recreational sport. I have been a vegan chef and can make a good sourdough loaf.

My favorite thing to share is a cup of tea and stories. But if you like, I can teach how to make kombucha, create something with clay, cook a delicious meal, bake some sourdough, share a yoga practice, help in the garden, or walk your dogs. I can also serenade you with some less than extraordinary guitar strumming.
