About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Téo, I am a Law student living in Rio de Janeiro.

I work for PUC-Rio, which is a University that takes a lot of foreign students, so if you have any question about coming to study in Rio I can be a very helpful person on the matter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After some time saving some money from my job, I have decided that I wanted to spend it traveling around and getting to know new people and new places. However, the money is not enough for fancy trips, and a friend of mine who is on Couchsurfing as well, said using the website would help me in both situation, since I could meet amazing people like he did and I could also save some money (which I can spend part of it buying us some wine, or cooking something for us to enjoy and get to know each other a little better).

Interests

I love learning about the history of the places I am visiting, because not only what we can see right there is important, but also what lead to the now and how it happened.
Also, I am always up for some wine, specially after a long day so I can share my experience with other people and hear about their day as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a really MPB fan, which is a genre of Brazilian music, so I can introduce you to some artists if you fancy it. Some of them are Chico Buarque, Marisa Monte.
I also enjoy some other new Brazilian artists such as Liniker, Silva, Phil Veras. Some of the internationals bands/singers I like also are The Smiths, Lorde, Florence and the Machine.

I have come to the conclusion of reading more in 2019, so I am currently with a long "to read" list and also taking suggestions, but I like very dramatic books, specially if they make me cry. The same with movies, I love watching a drama movie.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to get to know more not only about the place I am visiting, but about the people who live there, and I hope being able to do that by the people who host me. You don't have to feel the pressure of teaching me anything very important about the place, it can be what you enjoy doing, about the everyday life, everything can be useful and entertaining.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some of my knowledge in Brazilian culture, since some great singers/bands that are part of our story, until recipes (much of I have never tried cooking, but have always wanted to try, and maybe this is the chance).
